Barnardo’s support children and young people who have been abused and help them feel safe again. And they reach out to children at risk of harm, giving them the long-term support they need.
They run specialist Independent Child Trafficking Guardianship Service (ICTGS) services in West Midlands Combined Authorities build trusting relationships with trafficked children to help them build a positive future
They support thousands of children and young people who have experienced sexual abuse. They make them safe and help them recover. Their services include:
- therapy and counselling
- supporting children and young people through court proceedings when abusers are prosecuted
- supporting the wider family
- increasing public awareness of sexual abuse
